NEXI training course in Japan 2018 for Export Credit Experts

At the invitation of Japan Export Credit Insurance Agency (NEXI), the Ministry of Finance appointed a representative of the Department of Debt Management and External Finance to attend the training course 2018 from the date 28/01/2018 to 03/02/2018 in Japan, with the participations represented six export credit insurance agencies from other developing countries.
This training course is held annually by NEXI to introduce NEXI's policies, activities and tools for the export or offshore investment projects of Japanese companies. The training also included discussions between the participants and the staff of NEXI on the model of operation, mode of export credit insurance, how to calculate premium, guarantee, factors considered, assessment in the process of issuance of insurance decisions, export credit guarantee and investment.
NEXI is the Japan Export Credit Insurance Agency, formerly under the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Trade of Japan (METI), has been restructured into a 100% Japanese owned company from April 2017. NEXI plays an important role in the issuance of credit insurance loans by Japanese commercial banks to Vietnamese enterprises guaranteed by the Government to support the export and investment of Japan to Vietnam. NEXI is a regular partner of the Ministry of Finance. To date, the total value of loans granted by NEXI is about $ 5.4 billion in the areas of power plants and transmission lines, mining and processing.
