Da Lat dissemination workshop overview
From 26 July to 3 August 2018, the Department of Debt Management and External Finance (DMEF) organized 03 dissemination workshops for the 2017 Public Debt Management Law and 06 guiding decrees in Hoa Binh, Ha Noi and Da Lat. These workshops gathered participation from entities relating to public debt management, borrowed capital users at ministerial, local and enterprise levels and foreign sponsors.

Giving his remarks at the dissemination workshop for foreign sponsors, MOF Vice Minister, Mr. Tran Xuan Ha informed that in addition to changing the focal agency responsible for negotiating and signing framework agreements and loan agreements, the 2017 Public Debt Management Law also tightens standards for mobilization and use of borrowed funds; as well as improve accountability of relating agencies and improve public debt information transparency. On behalf of MOF leaders, Vice Minister Mr. Tran Xuan Ha thanked foreign sponsors for their proactive support and collaboration with MOF in drafting the 2017 Law and guiding documents.

DMEF General Director, Mr. Truong Hung Long informed that apart from the 06 Decrees guiding the Public Debt Management Law that have been promulgated by the Prime Minister, MOF has completed drafting 04 Circulars regarding reporting templates and accounting of public debt for promulgation at the earliest possible. In regards to the Law dissemination activities, Mr. Long remarked right after these workshops, DMEF will assign mission teams to supervise the implementation of the Law at ministerial and local levels.
